MISSOULA, Mont. -- Mathias Ward scored 26 points to lead Montana to a 78-58 victory over Carroll College (Mont.) on Saturday night.
Montana (4-3) also got 15 points from Keron Deshields, including three 3-pointers, and 14 points and seven assists from Kareem Jamar.
Montana had a solid night from the floor. It shot 48.4 percent, and connected on 8 of 18 3-point attempts.
Nick Jones led Carroll (0-8) with 19 points and eight rebounds. He hit three 3-pointers.
Montana shot 12 times from the foul line, making 10. Carroll only attempted nine from the line but made eight.
While the Wolverines had some turnover to their roster, they still could have a leg up in a conference that lost a lot of star power.
