DETROIT -- Ray McCallum scored 24 points and Detroit hit 13 3-pointers en route to a 102-67 victory over Rochester (Mich.) on Saturday.
McCallum was 8 of 10 from the field and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line for the Titans (4-4). Jason Calliste and Anton Wilson added 14 points apiece, while Nick Minnerath and Juwan Howard Jr. had 11 each. Minnerath also had nine rebounds while Doug Anderson handed out a career-high seven assists.
The 102 points were the most by the Titans since last season when they beat Concordia 113-68. Detroit shot 55 percent from the field, including 13 of 27 from 3-point range, and hit the century mark when Gabriel Dos Santos buried a jumper with 1:44 remaining.
Indiana guard James Blackmon Jr., who averaged 15.8 points in 13 games before being injured last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft.
Isaiah Briscoe has decided to withdraw from the NBA draft and will return to Kentucky for his sophomore season. Marcus Lee intends to transfer.
The Big 12/SEC Challenge will again feature Kansas and Kentucky, this time at Rupp Arena. That's not the only exciting matchup in next season's midseason conference showdown.
