EDINBURG, Texas -- Jesus Delgado scored a career-high 18 points to lead Texas-Pan American to a 75-70 win over Lamar on Saturday night.
Lamar led 31-27 at halftime, but the Broncos came out in the second half and scored the first five points. Delgado made a layup at the 18:03 mark to tie the game at 35. Urbanus scored, putting the Broncos up 37-35. Lamar would get within one, but the Broncos remained in the lead.
Lamar outrebounded the Broncos, 37-27 and shot 53.6 percent from the field for the game. The Broncos shot 50.8 percent.
Gonzaga center Przemek Karnowski, who missed most of last season with a back injury, says he is returning for another year.
Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return to the Badgers for his senior season.
