MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Kyle Randall scored 18 points to lead Central Michigan to a 92-80 victory over Texas State on Thursday night.
Central Michigan (6-4) led 42-40 at halftime and had 27 points off Texas State turnovers. Central Michigan shot 53.7 percent from the field for the game, while Texas State (4-8) shot 50.8 percent.
After being down by as many as nine in the second half, Texas State cut Central Michigan's lead to 83-78, with a 3-pointer from Vonn Jones, who had six assists. Randall made three free throws, and Chris Fowler made a layup with 48 seconds left to put Central Michigan up by 10.
