WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Kyle Galliard finished with 15 points and eight rebounds to lead William & Mary past Division III Salisbury 82-49 Friday night.
Galliard was near perfect on the night, making 6 of 6 from the field, including one 3-pointer, while going 2 of 3 from the foul line.
Ahead 17-12 with 10:34 remaining in the first period, the Tribe (7-3) went on a 26-10 run to close out the half. Galliard scored 13 points in the period to help William & Mary lead at halftime 43-22.
Salisbury (9-3) was held to 31.3 percent (10 for 32) shooting and was outrebounded in the first half 25-11.
William & Mary shot 53.6 percent (15 for 28) in the second half to run away with the victory.
Marcus Thornton also finished with 15 points for the Tribe.
Travon Vann scored 17 points and grabbed eight boards for the Sea Gulls.
Maryland point guard Melo Trimble, considered a lock to leave the program before struggling in the second half last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.
Andrew White III will return to the Nebraska men's basketball team next season after removing his name from the NBA draft.
