LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Bandja Sy scored a career-high 25 points to lead New Mexico State to an 82-62 victory over UTSA on Thursday night in conference play.
Sy also led the team with eight rebounds.Sim Bhullar scored 15 points, and Daniel Mullings had 14 for the Aggies (7-8, 1-2 Western Athletic). Tyrone Watson had six assists.Michael Hale III and Kannon Burrage led the Roadrunners (4-9, 0-3) with 14 points apiece. Jeromie Hill added 13 points. Edrico McGregor led the team with four rebounds.New Mexico State led 38-32 at halftime, and returned to score the first 12 points of the second half. They never looked back.The Aggies shot 77 percent from the field in the second half -- compared to 36 percent for the Roadrunners -- and led by as many as 32. The Aggies outrebounded the Roadrunners 36-18.
