NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Taylor Smith had 15 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and Stephen F. Austin shot 55.1 percent from the field in a 71-43 blowout over McNeese State on Saturday night.
Stephen F. Austin (12-1, 3-0 Southland) held the Cowboys to just 31.9 percent shooting and out-rebounded them 41-25. The Lumberjacks led 23-19 at halftime but shot 66.7 percent in the second half, making 18 of 27 shots and outscoring the Cowboys 48-24.
Desharick Guidry had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead McNeese State (6-6, 0-2). Guidry gave the Cowboys their only lead of the night when he made it 2-0 to start the game but Stephen F. Austin answered with an 11-0 run and never trailed again.
