PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Daniel Broughton had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Arkansas-Pine Bluff over Alabama State 73-58 Sunday night in Southwestern Athletic Conference play.
Broughton was 9 of 12 from the field.
Davon Haynes had 17 points, and Lazabian Jackson added 10.
The Golden Lions (3-11, 2-0) led 34-24 at halftime and never trailed in the second half. Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot 48 percent from the field for the game. The Hornets (4-12, 2-1) shot 33 percent and committed 18 turnovers.
