RICHMOND, Va. -- Treveon Graham scored 24 points and Virginia Commonwealth defeated turnover-prone Dayton 74-62 Wednesday night to post its 10th straight win in the Atlantic 10 Conference opener for both teams.
The Rams (13-3) never trailed and scored 30 points off 26 turnovers by the Flyers (10-5). Briante Weber had nine of VCU's 15 steals.Dayton got within a point on two occasions, the last time at 49-48 with 14:51 left, but the Rams pulled away with a 7-0 run capped by Troy Daniels' 3-pointer.Graham, who scored 15 points in the first half, was 10 of 10 from the free-throw line while the rest of his teammates combined to make 9 of 11 foul shots.Juvonte Reddic added 14 points with nine rebounds and Daniels scored 12 points for the Rams.Kevin Dillard led Dayton with 17 points and Devin Oliver had 11 rebounds as the Flyers dominated the glass 39-27.DAY | VCU | |

Briante Weber came off the bench to register nine steals for VCU as the Rams won their Atlantic 10 debut. It was Weber's second game this season with at least nine steals; he had a 10-steal game in the Rams' season opener. Weber now has as many nine-steal games as every other Division I player in the country combined this season. |
