SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Cordarius Johnson scored 17 points as Louisiana Tech defeated Texas State 84-67 Thursday night for its fifth straight victory.
Louisiana Tech jumped out to a 12-2 lead en route to a 38-21 halftime advantage. Texas State opened the second half on a 15-5 run -- with nine points coming from Wright -- to pull within 43-36 with 16:00 left. But Jaron Johnson scored the next six points for the Bulldogs to push the lead back to double digits, and Cordarius Johnson later hit two 3-pointers and two free throws during a 12-0 run that put Louisiana Tech ahead 75-52 with 6:44 remaining.
