SAN ANTONIO -- Jordan Reeves scored 21 points on a perfect 8 for 8 from the field, grabbed eight rebounds and Texas-Arlington shot 57.8 percent from the floor in a 75-67 victory over UTSA on Thursday night.
Texas-Arlington (7-6, 2-2 WAC) made 26 of 45 from the field including eight 3-pointers and dished out 19 assists as a team.
The Mavericks put distance between themselves and UTSA from the beginning, going on a 19-4 run to start the first half capped off by Jamel Outler's four-point play. Outler was fouled by Hyjii Thomas while hitting a 3-pointer, then made the free throw and Texas-Arlington never looked back.
