ALBANY, N.Y. -- Rakeem Brookins' 3-pointer with 2 seconds remaining lifted Siena to a 57-54 victory over Canisius on Friday night, ending the Saints' 11-game losing streak.
Siena (3-13, 1-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) trailed 45-32 with 12:18 left but got back into the game with 3-pointers.
The lead changed hands three more times after that -- with the Golden Griffins (10-6, 3-2) twice going back in front on 3-pointers by Jordan Heath -- before Brookins made 1 of 2 free throws for a 54-54 tie at the 1:07 mark. Brookins finished with 13 points.
