CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Isaiah Canaan scored 26 points, and Ed Daniel had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead Murray State to a 71-68 victory against Austin Peay in an Ohio Valley Conference game Saturday night
Canaan made 8 of 16 from the field and 6 of 7 from the line, and Daniel shot 6 of 7 from the field and made 9 of 13 free throws for the Racers (12-4, 3-1).
Travis Betran had 27 points for the Governors (5-13, 1-3), Will Triggs scored 12 points and Anthony Campbell 10. Austin Peay beat Morehead State 84-81 in overtime on Wednesday to snap an eight-game losing streak.
Murray State led 31-29 at the half, but Betran made two free throws to grab a 53-52 lead with 6:08 left.
The Racers went ahead to stay 55-53 on Daniel's three-point play at 5:46, although Betran's four-point play closed it to 70-68 with 11 seconds remaining.

Isaiah Briscoe has decided to withdraw from the NBA draft and will return to Kentucky for his sophomore season. Marcus Lee intends to transfer.
