CONWAY, Ark. -- Gary Stewart scored 19 points, one of six men in double figures, and Northwestern State defeated Central Arkansas 100-88 on Saturday.
Stewart hit 5 of 8 from 3-point range for Northwestern State (10-5, 4-1 Southland).
James Hublin scored 17 points and had three blocked shots and Cary Roberson scored 13.
Northwestern State was 30 of 37 from the free-throw line.
Central Arkansas (5-9, 0-4) was led by Robert Crawford, who scored 22 points. He was 3-of-5 from 3-point range. LaQuentin Miles scored 21 points. Jarvis Garner scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Northwestern State had a 44-41 rebounding edge, with six players getting five or more.
