The Pride (5-11, 2-1) never trailed and led 27-17 lead at the break.
Brandon Britt led William & Mary (7-8, 1-3) with 21 points, shooting 8 for 16 from the floor. Marcus Thornton's 17 points included 9 at the stripe in 11 attempts. Kyle Gaillard was the third Tribe player in double figures with 10.
Hofstra hit 47.9 percent (23 of 48) from the field. The Tribe was 19 for 55 (34.5 percent).
Hofstra's bench outscored the Tribe's 10-2, and the Pride had a 17-10 advantage in second-chance points.
