CLINTON, S.C. -- Trey Freeman scored 13 points and Campbell posted its fifth consecutive win with a 62-46 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday night in a Big South Conference game.
The Camels (8-9, 3-0) led the Blue Hose (3-14, 0-3) 27-22 at the break, but then outscored Presbyterian 35-24 in the second half to win handily.
Presbyterian's largest lead was two points. It came with 19:33 left in the first half, on the game's first two points.
Khalid Mutakabbir led Presbyterian with a game-high 18 points, but Jordan Downing was the only other Blue Hose player in double figures with 13. While Mutakabbir went 6 for 6 at the foul line, Presbyterian was outscored 14-9 on free throws.
Campbell made 22 of 49 shots from the field while Presbyterian was 17 for 52.
Christian Kessee, Coppin State's leading scorer last season, has officially transferred to Memphis. The school announced the move Friday.
