BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Greg Gantt scored 23 points, and Florida Atlantic opened the second half with a 19-5 run to hand Troy an 80-59 loss in Sun Belt Conference play on Thursday night.
FAU swept the season series, having beaten Troy 61-54 on Dec. 27 behind Gantt's 26 points.
FAU made 13 of 24 3-pointers in the game to Troy's 3 of 14.
Florida Atlantic scored the first 10 points in the second half, including 3-pointers from Bertone and Moody, which led to a 42-28 advantage 3:36 in. Gantt's 3-pointer made it 47-32 with 14 minutes to go, and his layup pushed the lead to 51-32 with 13:08 remaining.
