SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Kyle Boswell's three-point play with 12 seconds left in the second overtime gave UC Santa Barbara an 83-81 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday.
Boswell, who finished with 23 points, also made three free throws after being fouled trying a 3-pointer with 1:06 left in the second OT period, giving the Gauchos (7-10, 3-3 Big West) an 80-79 lead. Drake U'u scored for Cal Poly with 29 seconds left to put the Mustangs in front by a point.
Taran Brown had 15 points for UCSB, including a 3-pointer in the final minute of regulation to tie the game at 66. Nate Garth had 13 points and eight assists, and Michael Bryson and Mitch Brewe scored 10 points apiece.
With the Suns drafting Tyler Ulis, they now have five guards on their roster who attended Kentucky.
