HIGH POINT, N.C. -- John Brown scored 17 points and High Point used a second half run to blow out Longwood 88-60 Wednesday night in Big South Conference play.
Allan Chaney added 16 points and a game-high eight boards to help High Point (10-10, 5-3) outrebound Longwood 43-23, including a 19-3 advantage on the offensive glass.
Ahead at halftime 35-30, High Point opened the second half on a 24-11 run to take a 59-41 lead with 12:51 remaining. Dejuan McGaughy started the period with a 3-pointer and capped the run with a dunk. McGaughy went 4 for 4 from behind the arc and finished with 14 points.
High Point shot 57.9 percent (22 of 38) in the second half.
The Panthers scored 25 points off 20 Longwood turnovers and dominated the Lancers inside, outscoring them 46-26.
Michael Kessens scored 22 points for the Lancers (3-19, 0-8), who lost their 12th-straight game.
