LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Anthony Myles scored 23 points and Jonathon Thompson added 18 as Rider defeated Niagara 72-69 Thursday night, handing the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference leader its second straight loss.
Rider led the rest of the way, though never by more than 10 points. Thompson made 4 of 6 free throws in the final 24 seconds.
Myles, who tied his career scoring high, also grabbed seven rebounds for Rider.
Ameen Tanksley scored a career-high 29 points for the Purple Eagles (14-10, 10-3) and had 11 of their first 25 points.
