GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Sebastian Koch shot a perfect 6 of 6 for a team-high 19 points as Elon topped Furman 64-60 Saturday in a Southern Conference game.
Ryley Beaumont scored 15 points and Tanner Samson added 13 for Elon (15-8, 8-3), which has won eight of its last nine games.After Koch's jumper tied the game at 57-57, Colin Reddick's free throw at the 1:28 mark put Furman ahead 58-57.Samson put Elon on top for good, connecting on a jumper to go up 59-58 with 1:08 remaining.Furman (6-15, 3-7) made just one basket the rest of the way while Elon made 5 of 6 free throws in the final 30 seconds to seal the victory.The Phoenix shot 52.2 percent (12 of 23) and made 10 of 11 free throws in the second half.Reddick had a double-double for the Paladins, finishing with game-highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds.
