BALTIMORE -- Justin Black scored 23 points and dished out six assists to lead Morgan State to an 80-51 win over Coppin State on Saturday.
DeWayne Jackson finished with 16 points and seven rebounds for the Bears (7-13, 4-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Ian Chiles had nine points and 10 rebounds.
Morgan State did not have much trouble with Eagles, taking a 25-12 lead on a Cedric Blossom jumper with 9:32 left in the first half. The Bears outscored Coppin State 21-6 to close the first half and claim a 46-18 halftime lead.
Morgan state continued to dominate in the second half, leading by as many as 33 points.
Michael Murray scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Eagles (5-20, 2-8), who lost their fifth straight contest.
