LORETTO, Pa. -- Shivaughn Wiggins scored 22 points to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 69-58 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) in a Northeast Conference game on Saturday night.
Trailing 7-6 5:03 into the game, the Mountaineers ran off 15 consecutive points to lead 21-7 with 6:45 left on two free throws from Wiggins. Mount St. Mary's, which has won six in a row and 14 of the past 15 in the series, led 32-18 at the half and was never threatened. The closest the Red Flash got in the second half was 10 points.
The guard prospect was one of the top players at the annual Spiece Run N Slam event.
SMU has signed a second player from Australia, 6-foot-11 forward Harry Froling, to a national letter of intent. The Mustangs previously signed guard Tom Wilson from Australia.
