BOSTON -- Jarvis Threatt hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in overtime to lift Delaware over first-place Northeastern 76-74 Wednesday night.
Delaware (14-12, 9-4 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 74-69 in overtime but rallied with the game's final seven points. Jamelle Hagins began the run with a dunk and Threatt followed with two free throws. After Northeastern's Jonathan Lee was called for travelling, Threatt knocked down the winning trey.The Blue Hens' Devon Saddler hit a jumper with 14 seconds left in regulation for a 67-67 tie, and the score carried through the buzzer.The lead changed hands 21 times.Threatt led Delaware with 20 points, while Saddler had 18 and Hagins 17 with nine rebounds.Northeastern (17-9, 12-2) got 23 points from Lee and 21 from Quincy Ford. The loss ended the Huskies' four-game winning streak, and drops them to 3-1 in overtime games this season.
