GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Troy Huff had 13 points and 10 rebounds as North Dakota held off Sacramento State 49-48 Thursday night.
North Dakota(10-13, 8-7 Big Sky) scored eight straight points to take a 43-35 lead with 8:04 remaining and pushed the lead to 48-38 with about 5 minutes left. The Green and White scored only one point the rest of the way but hung on after Lance Dickson missed a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer for Sacramento State (12-11, 7-8).
Dickson had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets, and Konner Veteto had 16 points and nine rebounds.
North Dakota shot just 34.5 percent, including 5 of 19 on 3-pointers. Sacramento State was even worse, shooting 33.3 percent and making just 1 of 10 from beyond the arc.
