ELON, N.C. -- Ryley Beaumont had 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Elon scored the last six points of the game from the foul line to beat Appalachian State 61-58 in a Southern Conference game on Thursday night.
Appalachian State led 58-55 on Jamaal Trice's free throws with 1:11 left, but Beaumont made two foul shots to pull within 58-57 with 58 seconds remaining. After Jay Canty turned the ball over, the Phoenix's Sebastian Koch made two foul shots for a 59-58 advantage with 5 seconds to go.
A quick foul put Jack Isenbarger on the line with 3 seconds left, and he made both to seal the victory.
Isenbarger scored 16 points and Koch 11 for Elon (17-8, 10-3), which lost to the Mountaineers 80-70 on Jan. 12 but is 9-1 since.
Canty had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Nathan Healy scored 12 for the Mountaineers (11-14, 7-7).
