Tennessee Tech's Jud Dillard missed a 3-point attempt with 13 seconds left, then fouled Warner as he made his go-ahead layup. Warner missed the ensuing free throw, and after a Tennessee Tech rebound, Samarrippas missed a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left to end it.
Posthumus finished with 13 points and Warner added 12 for Morehead State, which shot 45.8 percent (27 of 59), including 4 of 17 from 3-point range.
Dillard and Samarrippas had 14 points each for Tennessee Tech (9-16, 3-10).
