STATESBORO, Ga. -- C.J. Reed scored 14 points and three Georgia Southern players scored in double figures in a 78-61 rout against Furman on Saturday, snapping a two-game losing streak.
Georgia Southern (12-17, 6-10 Southern Conference) built an 11-point, first-half lead before Furman (6-21, 3-13) trimmed it to 30-27 at intermission. Furman took a 50-48 lead midway through the second half, but Georgia Southern used a 13-0 run to take the lead for good with a 61-50 advantage on a Baynham free throw.
Colin Reddick led Furman with 22 points, while Austin had 13 and Irwin added 12.
