DOVER, Del. -- Pendarvis Williams scored 18 points and Brandon Goode added 16 with eight rebounds to lead Norfolk State to a 60-56 victory over Delaware State on Saturday, the Spartans' first win in Dover after seven straight losses.
Kris Brown had 11 points for Norfolk State (18-10, 13-0), which won its 12th consecutive game and secured a first-round bye in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament.
The Spartans won the first game this season 74-56 on Feb. 9.
Trailing 33-18 at halftime, Delaware State opened the second half with a 23-8 run to tie Norfolk State 41-41 on Kendall Gray's jumper with 8:52 left.
Kris Brown's layup gave Norfolk State a 49-44 advantage with 4:28 remaining, and it held on for the victory.
