FAIRFAX, Va. -- Patrick Holloway scored 15 points on a career-high five 3-pointers and Erik Copes hit a jumper with 0.5 seconds left to lead George Mason to a 60-58 victory over William and Mary on Saturday.

Bryon Allen had 14 points and Copes 10 for the Patriots (17-11, 10-6 Colonial Athletic Association), who beat Hofstra 79-50 on Wednesday.

Marcus Thornton scored 22 points and Tim Rusthoven 10 for the Tribe (12-15, 6-10), whose three-game winning streak ended.

The Tribe led 30-29 at halftime and built a 50-37 advantage on Brandon Britt's 3-pointer with 11:14 left, but the Patriots went on a 14-point run capped by Holloway's trey with 4:36 remaining to go ahead 51-50.

Rusthoven's layup with 14 seconds left tied it at 58-all, setting up Copes' game-winner.

William and Mary shot 28 percent in the second half (7 of 25) and went almost 10 minutes without a field goal.
