ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Ronnie Boggs scored on a tip shot as time expired to lift Jacksonville State to a 71-69 win over UNC Asheville on Saturday.
Jacksonville State, which had a nine-point lead in the second half, fell behind 67-66 when Trent Meyer scored on a layup with 40 seconds left to play. The Gamecocks regained the lead at 69-67 with 27 seconds left when Tarvin Gaines made a 3-pointer.
Gaines scored 18 points for the Gamecocks, who have won two straight games. Williams had 15 points and seven rebounds. Boggs and Darion Rackley each had 13 points.
