WICHITA, Kan. -- Malcolm Armstead had 20 points and six assists as Wichita State recorded its highest point total of the season, beating Detroit 94-79 in a BracketBusters game on Saturday.
Wichita State led by 11 at halftime before Detroit cut the deficit to 63-62 with 12:39 remaining. The Shockers then closed the game with a 31-17 run, including eight straight free throws down the stretch.
