CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Corey Wilford scored 26 points, making 8 of 12 3-pointers, as Southeast Missouri State defeated Austin Peay 108-81 Thursday night.
Wilford's career-high eight 3-pointers tied a record for opponent's 3-point field goals in the Dunn Center.
The Redhawks started the game on a 23-5 run. Wilford made three consecutive 3-pointers during the stretch.
In the first half, Wilford made 6 of 7 3-pointers and had 20 points as Southeast Missouri led 65-30 at halftime.
Southeast Missouri shot 73.5 percent (25 of 34) while holding Austin Peay to 33.3 percent (9 of 27) in the first half.
The Redhawks led by as many as 40 points in the second half.
Travis Betran scored 26 points for the Governors (7-23, 3-12), who have lost three straight.
