JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Torrey Craig scored 26 points and Ty Greene added 17 to lead South Carolina-Upstate to an 88-56 victory over East Tennessee State on Friday night in an Atlantic Sun Conference game.
Craig hit three 3-pointers and Greene two in the opening 5 minutes, when the Spartans (15-16, 9-9) raced to a 17-5 advantage.
They led 39-25 at halftime, then started the second half by outscoring the Buccaneers (10-21, 8-10) 36-9 to increase their margin to 75-34 with 8:42 to play.
The 32-point final margin represented ETSU's worst conference defeat since joining the league in the 2005-06 season.
Craig also had nine rebounds and Babatunde Olumuyiwa eight for the Spartans, who had a 42-29 advantage on the boards.
Maryland point guard Melo Trimble, considered a lock to leave the program before struggling in the second half last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.
Andrew White III will return to the Nebraska men's basketball team next season after removing his name from the NBA draft.
