BOONE, N.C. -- Jay Canty scored 27 points and Nathan Healey had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead Appalachian State to an 86-60 blowout of Chattanooga in the regular-season finale for both on Saturday.
With the victory, Appalachian State clinched the No. 4 seed and first-round bye in next week's Southern Conference tournament.
The score was tied 5-all 2:51 into the game when the Mountaineers went on a 31-9 run to take a 36-14 lead with 8:16 left in the half. They led 55-30 at halftime.
