PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- Malcolm Miller had 12 points and nine rebounds and Southern University defeated Prairie View A&M 61-39 on Saturday.

Southern will be the top seed for the SWAC tournament beginning March 13 in Garland, Texas, as the other two top regular-season teams, Texas Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, are ineligible for the title.
