BALTIMORE -- Andre Armstrong scored 22 points to help Coppin State avenge a Feb. 18 double-overtime defeat, beating Maryland-Eastern Shore 63-60 Monday night.
Ishaq Pitt hit a jumper with 19 seconds left to get the Hawks back within one, 61-60, but Armstrong answered just a second later with two free throws to go up 63-60. Mays missed a jumper and layup in the final 9 seconds.
Armstrong made 10 of 11 free throws, as the Eagles held a 19-8 advantage from the foul line.
