LOS ANGELES -- Josh Greene scored 37 points, including 11 straight in the closing minutes, as Cal State Northridge snapped a six-game losing streak and wrapped up its season with an 88-75 victory over Hawaii on Thursday night.
Greene hit two 3-pointers and five straight free throws in the final 2:11 as the Matadors (14-17, 5-13) finished the game on a 17-6 run. That capped a night in which he hit 7 of 14 3-pointers, 9 of 18 shots overall and 12 of 14 free throws.
Northridge, which did not qualify for the Big West Conference tournament, also got 24 points and 13 rebounds from Stephen Maxwell.
Christian Standhardinger scored 26 points for Hawaii (17-13, 10-8), which was also playing its final game of the regular season. The Warriors will await the outcomes of Saturday's remaining games to determine their seed in the conference tournament.
Maryland point guard Melo Trimble, considered a lock to leave the program before struggling in the second half last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.
Andrew White III will return to the Nebraska men's basketball team next season after removing his name from the NBA draft.
