KATY, Texas -- Brandon Fortenberry scored 18 points, leading five players in double figures, as Southeastern Louisiana beat McNeese State 85-65 on Thursday in the Southland Conference quarterfinals.
Southeastern Louisiana (13-17) led 53-36 at halftime. The Lions shot 55.8 percent from the field for the game, while the eighth-seeded Cowboys shot 42.9 percent. The Lions outrebounded the Cowboys 34-27.
Southeastern Louisiana will play top-seeded Stephen F. Austin on Friday in the semifinals.
