LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Watching film of Louisville demolishing Colorado State is going to be scary enough for anyone who has to face the Cardinals over the next two weeks.Hearing what coach Rick Pitino said afterward is going to be downright terrifying."We can play much better," Pitino said. "This is the best we have played so far at both ends of the floor. ... But we can definitely get better and improve."

MVP: Russ Smith can hurt you or he can help you. He helped the Cardinals in the win with 27 points and two steals. He went 4-for-7 from the 3-point line.
X factor: Colorado State weathered Louisville's early pressure. But the Cardinals remained aggressive and ultimately forced 19 turnovers.
That was lopsided: Colorado State might be the best team in the Mountain West. Larry Eustachy's squad is talented. But the Cardinals proved that they're just in a different league.
