CONWAY, S.C. -- Josh Cameron made 5 of 6 3-point attempts en route to a career-high 29 points and Coastal Carolina survived a late UNC Asheville surge for an 81-78 victory on Wednesday night.
Trailing 71-59 with 3:36 remaining, Asheville battled back to close the deficit to two, 77-75, on Andrew Rowsey's turnaround 3-pointer with 19.9 seconds left. Cameron made two free throws to put the Chanticleers up by four. Rowsey missed a layup and, in a scramble for the loose ball, Coastal Carolina's El Hadji Ndieguene was fouled with 6.8 seconds left. He made both free throws for the final margin.
