HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Sidney Sanders Jr. followed Sunday's 31 point output against Hofstra with a 32 point burst and Farleigh Dickinson got past Mount St. Mary's 85-79 in a Northeast Conference opener for both teams on Thursday Night.
Matt McDonald added 21 points for the Knights who committed just 6 turnovers in the game.
Mount St. Mary's (4-10, 0-1 NEC) led at the break 43-41 but gave up that lead in the second half due in part to sending Fairleigh Dickinson (5-10, 1-0 NEC) to the free throw line 36 times in the game. The Knights were good on 29 of those attempts, compared to the Mountaineers 16-of-24 performance from the penalty stripe.
