MURRAY, Ky. -- Eric Wortham Jr. and Neiko Hunter shared top scoring honors for Middle Tennessee State as Murray State proved no contest in losing to the Blue Raiders 80-62 on Tuesday evening.
Worthan Jr. shot 6 of 7 from the floor and made 3 of 3 from beyond the 3-point line and Hunter made 70 percent of his attempts going 7-for-10 for the Blue Raiders. The team accomplished an impressive 54 percent shooting from the field, but could only hit 11-of-19 free throws.
Middle Tennessee (5-1) led by 12 at the half and Murray State (2-4) came out in the second half with no answer to the Blue Raiders offensive attack. Wortham Jr.'s 3-point jumper and a follow-up layup gave Middle Tennessee a 25 point lead (66-41) with 10 minutes to play.
