BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Jack Isenbarger scored 18 points to lead Elon over Florida Atlantic 67-62 on Sunday.
Sebastian Koch added 14 points and seven rebounds for Elon (6-6). The Phoenix shot just 38.5 percent from the floor, but was helped by going 8 of 20 from beyond the arc and making 19 of their 23 free throws.
Elon led early, but Florida Atlantic (3-9) made it a game in the second half and led at 60-57 with 2:42 left. Isenbarger drilled a trey and hit four free throws inside of eight seconds to seal the win.
Elon went on a 15-4 run early in the first, led by treys from Isenbarger and Koch and several trips to the line, en route to 13 point lead at intermission at 40-27.
Maryland point guard Melo Trimble, considered a lock to leave the program before struggling in the second half last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.
Andrew White III will return to the Nebraska men's basketball team next season after removing his name from the NBA draft.
