WORCESTER, Mass. -- Dave Dudzinski had a game-high 22 points, and scored 13 of the final 15 points for Holy Cross as they outlasted Albany 62-57 Wednesday night.
The Crusaders (5-3) faced an early 10-point deficit in the second half, but Malachi Alexander sparked a 12-2 run with a layup and two jumpers to tie the game at 40.
Dudzinski hit two layups with a pair of free throws in between and Malcolm Miller had a lay-in as well to put Holy Cross up 55-49.
Albany (4-4) pulled within two on a Peter Hooley 3-pointer, and he followed two Dudzinski free throws with a layup to make it 59-57 with :47 left.
Dudzinski answered with a 3-point dagger to ice the game with 11 seconds remaining. He finished with seven rebounds and was 6 of 6 from the foul line.
Hooley led the Great Danes with 19 points and Sam Rowley had 14.
