KENT, Ohio -- Brian Fitzpatrick scored 16 as Bucknell overcame Kent State 66-59 and snapped its 13-game home winning streak on Wednesday night.
Cameron Ayers made a 3-pointer with 4:53 to give Bucknell (3-4) the lead for good and hit another one on the next possession to extend the lead to 59-55.
Bucknell was 9 of 20 from 3-point range while Kent State was only 7 of 28.
Kent State (8-2) responded to Bucknell's second-half run with eight unanswered points to tie the game 53-53. The Golden Flashes had the ball down 61-57 with 44.3 seconds left but turned it over and had to send the Bison to the free throw line.
Darren Goodson had 18 points to lead Kent State.
