BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Issiah Grayson had 15 points and six assists on Monday night and Cal State Bakersfield led the entire second half to defeat Nevada 74-66.
The Runners (3-1) led 38-30 at half and allowed a 6-0 run by the Wolf Pack to cut the lead to 38-36. Bakersfield answered with a 17-6 run to take their largest lead of the game at 55-42 with 11:51 left. The Runners would lead by 13 again with 7:21 to go in the game.
The Wolf Pack (2-2) entered the game with two straight road victories in which they rallied from double-digit deficits, but were unable to get closer than 72-66 with a minute to play.
Ben Bentil said that he will remain in the NBA draft and said he is "ready for the next chapter in my life."
Christian Kessee, Coppin State's leading scorer last season, has officially transferred to Memphis. The school announced the move Friday.
Peter Jok, who averaged 16.1 points a game for Iowa last season, has removed his name from the NBA draft and will return for his senior year.
