PEORIA, Ill. -- Walt Lemon, Jr. had 20 points, eight boards and five assists on Tuesday night and Bradley dominated the boards to beat Central Michigan 80-70.
Bradley outrebounded Central Michigan 50-28. The 50 rebounds were the most by the Braves since they had 56 against Wichita State Dec. 30, 2005. The Braves led by 17 early in the second half and coasted from there.
Lemon became the 31st player in Bradley history to reach 1,200 career points. Tyshon Pickett added 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds for the Braves (3-0).
Maryland point guard Melo Trimble, considered a lock to leave the program before struggling in the second half last season, has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return for his junior season.
Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.
Andrew White III will return to the Nebraska men's basketball team next season after removing his name from the NBA draft.
