TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Manny Arop scored 25 points on Saturday to lead Indiana State over IUPUI 81-61.
Indiana State allowed IUPUI to within 59-55 but held the Jaguars to only one field goal and six points over the final 10 minutes. Indiana State scored the last 10 points of the game, highlighted by back-to-back dunks by Dawon Cummings and Khristian Smith.
The Sycamores opened the game on a 15-2 run and shot 30 of 54 (55.6 percent). Arop was 9 of 13 from the floor, 4 of 5 from 3-point range and grabbed six rebounds. Justin Gant added 18 points for the Sycamores.
IUPUI fought back to within 45-42 and stayed close with the Sycamores for the first ten minutes of the second half.
