JONESBORO, Ark. -- Tevin Calhoun nabbed a season-high 35 points, including seven 3-pointers in leading Troy to a 98-84 upset of Arkansas State in a conference matchup on Thursday night.
Troy (6-9, 1-2 Sun Belt Conference) scored the first two points in the game and never trailed in building a 54-44 halftime lead. The Trojans upped that lead to as many as 19 points, 81-62, on a Calhoun 3-pointer with 9:19 remaining. It was a breeze to the finish for Troy who outrebounded Arkansas State (9-5, 2-1) 36-24 and gathered 5 more offensive rebounds in the contest.
